Critical Outage - o4.fr - COMPLETE

CRITICAL OUTAGE NOTIFICATION - 0500 GMT 12/05/2012

This notice is being sent to all customers regarding our o4.fr.minivps.co.uk node.

Dear Customer,

I'm quite sure you've noticed a number of issues with this node recently with stability and availability being less than adequate. We have been working to find the cause of the problem over the past few days and have run a variety of tests on the RAM and CPU. We have discovered the problem lies with the motherboard of this server.

We have taken the decision to have the faulty motherboard replaced as soon as possible to avoid any further or prolonged performance issues. With this in mind, we have arranged for a Technician to replace the faulty motherboard in this server at 0500 GMT on Saturday 12th May, 2012. This is TOMORROW. This is short notice however we're sure you will agree this needs rectified as soon as possible to avoid any further problems.

We do not envisage the outage lasting any longer than 1 hour however we are assigning a 3 hour maintenance window to cover any unforeseen issues that may arise.

I must stress that your data is NOT AT RISK during this time. We will keep you up to date with the latest information during the outage on our Twitter and Facebook pages and I have provided links to these at the end of this email.

If you have any questions or concerns about this outage, please do get in touch via our helpdesk. Myself and the rest of the team will be available during this outage to ensure a minimum of downtime and clear communication with all of our customers.
